OIL OR FUEL PRESSURE IS ALL THE IMPORTANT IN A MODIFIED ENGINE

When you lose oil pressure, this is usually an indicator that something catastrophic is quickly in the works, and you have time to shut the engine down before further damage occurs. Low oil pressure could mean a spun bearing, a failed oil pump, or it could be something less serious. 

If employing this gauge for fuel pressure, a sudden drop in fuel pressure could lead to lead conditions which could let the driver know that something mechanical has failed like a fuel pump, failed fuel pressure regulator, or perhaps a dirty filter or injectors.
